During a live tweet session with Cosmopolitan magazine, Cobie’s Safe Haven co-star Julianna Hough was asked what it was like working with Cobie. To our delight, Julianne had nothing but positive things to say! (We’re not surprised, though!) Take a look at what Julianne had to say below:

No less than a Canadian invasion will mark Robin Sparkles’ return in the February 4th, How I Met Your Mother. Repeat guest stars James Van Der Beek (technically, not a Canadian, but that’s okay, eh?) and Alan Thicke will lead the Great White Northern charge in the episode, which marks the return of Robin Sparkles.

Additionally, Jason Priestley (Beverly Hills, 90210), Paul Shaffer (Late Show with David Letterman), Alex Trebek (Jeopardy!) and a cadre of other Canadian guest stars will appear in the outing.

The latest chapter in the pop singer’s saga will show off “a little bit of a darker, edgier Robin Sparkles,” according to executive producer Carter Bays, as viewers learn “what dominoes had to fall to get her from there” to who she is today.

To help tell that story, the CBS sitcom has enlisted “a crazy lineup of people,” which includes musician k.d. lang and several Canadian athletes. Thicke previously played Robin’s dad in the “Sandcastles in the Sand” music video, while Van Der Beek was her ex-boyfriend, Simon. (Source)

Captain America may or may not be reunited with his lost love Peggy in Captain America: the Winter Soldier, but even if he does, she won’t be played by actress Hayley Atwell. Atwell, who played Peggy Carter in Captain America, has revealed that she will not be in the sequel to the popular super hero film.

A major aspect of Captain America was the romance between Steve Rogers (Played by Chris Evans) and Peggy Carter (Played by Hayley Atwell.) The two sweethearts were parted when our hero went into suspended animation. It’s possible they may meet again in Captain America: the Winter Soldier but she’ll be played by a different actress, and most likely an older one. Although the good Captain has remained youthful since WW2, Peggy will not have. If the character does appear in the sequel film, she will be 70 years older than she was in the original and will probably be portrayed by a more elderly actress.

Atwell originally indicated that she expected to be in the sequel, although her official answer when asked was “I’m not allowed to say yet”. Apparently, she was too optimistic. Recently, in an interview with Time Out, she revealed that she would not be in the film.

Joss Whedon, who wrote and directed the Avengers, said that he’d written a “beautiful and poignant scene” with Steve meeting an aged Peggy in the present. The scene was omitted from the script and never flmed. Maybe such a scene will be included in a future Marvel film. The Captain America sequel will focus on Captain America’s continued adjustment to the modern world and his affiliation with Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D., as well as the return of his old friend Bucky as the Winter Soldier.

Fans of the comics know that Captain America becomes involved in a long-term relationship with a younger relative of Peggy’s named Sharon Carter. It’s possible that Sharon will be in one of the future sequels, but that’s unconfirmed. In the meantime, Captain America: the Winter Soldier will have Chris Evans; Samuel Jackson as Nick Fury; Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow; Cobie Smulders as Agent Hill and Anthony Mackie as the Falcon. TVLine.com’s Michael Ausiello of Ask Ausiello has posted a new How I Met Your Mother spoiler. For those wanting to remain spoiler free, do not read below.

Question: Will we see Robin telling Barney about her inability to have children on How I Met Your Mother?
Ausiello: No clue. But you will see her hold Marshall and Lily’s son, Marvin. “We have a fun episode coming up about Robin and the baby,” previews exec producer Carter Bays. “It’s almost based on myself. I feel like it’s a story that I could have taken from my own life a little bit, about the abject fear about holding a baby and how scary that is if you’re not someone who is around babies much or knows babies. It’s Robin overcoming her fear of holding a baby.”

While The Avengers posed many visual efffects challenges, one of the larger challenges was pulling together the “tie-in” shot during the third act of the film. Rather than frames, this single shot is measured in minutes on screen and is one of the longest effects shots in the film. It incorporates both practical special effects and extensive digital visual effects by ILM. The New York City environment that serves as the setting for this shot (and virtaully the entire alien invasion) is computer generated by the visual effects team at ILM.

Take a look below at a behind-the-scenes look at The Anatomy of a Shot featurette.

Don’t go eyeballing that booth at McLaren’s just yet, because Ted, Barney, Robin, Lily and Marshall will be back for another round.

After what is being described as a last-minute change-of-heart by How I Met Your Mother regular Jason Segel, CBS, 20th Century Fox TV, series creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas and the entire cast have reached a deal for the sitcom to return for a ninth season, our sister site Deadline reports. The reported agreement comes in the midst of the final season of HIMYM‘s licensing deal with CBS and the last year of the current pacts for Carter/Bays and cast members Segel, Josh Radnor, Cobie Smulders, Alyson Hannigan and Neil Patrick Harris.

Neither CBS nor 20th Century Fox TV immediately responded to TVLine’s request for comment on the report. Segel, as had been suspected, was the lone holdout among the ensemble, Deadline says, as his film career becomes more flush — and until today he had in fact decided to walk away from the show, leaving it “literally dead.” But, a source tells Deadline, “he just got turned around … at the last second.”

When TVLine spoke with Bays just last week, he said everyone was “right in the middle of” “white-knuckled, nail-biting” negotiations. Though he was unsure if there would be news to report prior to the Television Critics Association winter press tour taking place in January, he said, “We’re all very confident it will work out.”

With CBS giving up some ground on Mondays this fall — due to problems with the 8:30 time slot and facing formidable competition from a solid Voice and the buzzy Revolution (which combined to score NBC regular wins) — securing How I Met Your Mother for another season was a priority for the network. TVLine.com’s Michael Ausiello of Ask Ausiello has posted two new How I Met Your Mother spoilers. For those wanting to remain spoiler free, do not read below.

Question: It’s been quite a while since you’ve given us anything on How I Met Your Mother. How about a little something?
Ausiello: Reports of a Robin Sparkles comeback have not been greatly exaggerated. EP Carter Bays confirms that Scherbat’s ’90s alter ego will resurface in a big way in the Monday, Feb. 4 episode. “We [wanted to see] the next step in the progression that took her from Robin Sparkles to who she is today,” he previews. “What dominoes had to fall to get her from there to here?” Bays teases that viewers will be exposed to “a darker, edgier Robin Sparkles,” adding, “We’re going to see her rebellious side come out.”
