When How I Met Your Mother launches its seventh season this fall, someone in Marshall’s life will look very different. Almost like an entirely different person. Because, well, he will be!
In the Season 6 finale, Marshall’s potential new boss was played by funnyman Dave Foley. Alas, the NewsRadio alum’s CBS pilot, How to Be a Gentleman, scored a pick-up and Thursdays-at-8:30 time slot, making him unavailable to return to the Monday sitcom. So, who’s the boss… now? Enter funnyman, Martin Short. According to New York Magazine‘s Vulture blog, Short has been cast in a recurring role as the new head of Marshall’s new company — which essentially means Lily’s man got his dream job. (Source)
Joss Whedon’s The Avengers has been in production since this past April but not many photos have been leaked from the set thus far. Based on Marvel’s The Avengers, the greatest superheroes will unite under this banner on screen for the first time in this film.
According to MovieWeb, someone managed to snap a few shots of a Humvee and truck on its way to the set with the S.H.I.E.L.D. logo emblazoned on the sides. Also added into the gallery are two marketing posters.
During his visit on Conan O’Brien, Neil Patrick Harris revealed why fans may see Conan as “the worst extra ever” on How I Met Your Mother. Take a look at the video below of Neil’s appearance on the late night talk show, they discuss HIMYM around the 4:45 mark.
Fan may be disappointed to hear that the Avengers are not expected to reassemble in Hall H at the 2011 San Diego Comic-Con in July.
The official word from Marvel Studios is that their team will sit out the Hollywood previews in the 6,000-seat hall, where fans, bloggers and journalists from around the world come to see filmmakers and stars introduce and promote their upcoming spectacle movies.
The leadership at Marvel Studios is also quick to point out that sitting out Hall H is not synonymous with sitting out Comic-Con, which runs July 21-24; the studio will have a major presence on the convention showroom floor (one Marvel source cryptically said that the booth plan will be as attention-grabbing as last year’s Hall H panel), and there’s talk of a promotional event beyond the walls of the San Diego Convention Center, which might suggest a Captain America: The First Avenger promotion, premiere or special screening.
Ask Ausiello has posted a How I Met Your Mother spoiler … will we see the return of Rachel Bilson? Fans know that Rachel Bilson plays the roommate of the “mother,” take a look below:
Question: I know she’s got a new show on The CW, but any chance Rachel Bilson will pop back up on How I Met Your Mother next season?
Ausiello: Network and studio bosses have been playing nice in recent years when it comes to sharing talent, so if HIMYM wanted her for another guest stint I imagine they’d probably be able to get her. THIS JUST IN: HIMYM wants her! “She’s still the roommate of the mother from the title of the series,” reminds exec producer Craig Thomas. “We didn’t establish her lightly. We definitely intend to show how she’s part of Ted’s link to finding the mother.”
Monday announced the winners of the Critics’ Choice TV Awards – to our delight, Cobie’s How I Met Your Mother co-star, Neil Patrick Harris won for “Supporting Actor in a Comedy.” Congratulations to Neil for his win!!
The internet has been ablaze since it was publicized that Samuel L. Jackson had his The Avengers shooting script stolen and later sold on the black market. Samuel L. Jackson has come forward to talk about how the theft actually occurred, and how he was scolded by Walt Disney and Marvel Studios for letting this happen.
This is what Samuel L. Jackson had to say about the notorious incident.
“When they sent me the new version of the script, I was shooting a film in Toronto (Canada) and my assistant copied it from the email (and printed it) in the office somewhere. And by the time we got to Albuquerque someone had stolen the script out of the printer and put it online for sale. I didn’t know printers had memories. And apparently my assistant didn’t either. Marvel/Disney kind of got really upset about it. It caused a minor storm of investigation. They sent a team of investigators to Canada. They were trying to find (track down) the IP address of the person that put it online. It was crazy.”
No one has been arrested in the theft of Samuel L. Jackson’s script. Neither Marvel nor Disney have ever made any official comments in regards to this infamous incident.
The Avengers comes to theaters May 4th, 2012 and stars Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Samuel L. Jackson, Don Cheadle, Clark Gregg, Tom Hiddleston. The film is directed by Joss Whedon. (Source)

ReelzChannel.com posted a “What We Know About The Avengers So Far” article on their website. Take a look below at what we can expect from Agent Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) in the 2012 film:
What We Know So Far
Maria Hill is the newest addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and hasn’t appeared in any of the previous Marvel movies. In the comic books, Hill is eventually made Deputy Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., replacing Fury.
What to Expect in The Avengers
While new, the character of Hill is likely significant, since Smulder’s deal for The Avengers included appearances in nine other Marvel movies. While it’s doubtful that Hill will take over S.H.I.E.L.D. in the movie, her time as Nick Fury’s sidekick won’t last forever.
What He Said About The Avengers
Like the Black Widow, Hill will be outfitted in a catsuit-like costume. Smulders told Zap2It in March that she has tried on “portions of the catsuit” and admitted to being fascinated by the process. “I feel like wardrobe becomes very creative on these types of movies because they literally spend weeks designing just the pants or the emblem,” said Smulders. “It’s such an all-consuming process, so I’m excited to see how it all turns out.”
Ask Ausiello has posted some How I Met Your Mother spoilers regarding if fans can expect to see the return of Robin Sparkles in the upcoming season! Take a look below:
Question: What’s the latest on the return of Robin Sparkles next season on How I Met Your Mother? —Todd
Ausiello: It’s still in the gestation stage. “We do have one little beginning of an idea of something that would be completely different as a way to reprise it,” reveals exec producer Craig Thomas. “My promise would be we’ll only do it if it’s something completely different — apples and oranges from what we’ve already done. ‘Cause I don’t want to be too much in the shadow of “Let’s Go to the Mall,” which I realize is everyone’s favorite.” Speaking of Robin, remember how Thomas hinted that she would be getting a new love interest this fall? It’s totally happening. Casting is underway as I write this.
Robert Downey Jr. took a break from shooting The Avengers in New Mexico to take part in a Q & A session at the Hero Complex Film Festival in Hollywood last night. Here’s what the actor had to say about The Avengers, heaping praise on director Joss Whedon.
“Well, I hate everybody. [Laughter] I’m not talking about the cast, I’m not talking about Joss. What I mean is I tend to look at a scene and say ‘This is absolutely impossible, we can’t shoot this, it’s horrible. I can tell you ten other movies it’s been in, I refuse.’ I usually start off the morning by refusing to do what I’ve signed on to do. So I brought that attitude, happily. I just thought How are you gonna put all of us clowns together? He’s wearing a suit, he’s all jacked up, he’s so and so and poor Mark Ruffalo, he’s gonna out do us. And we’re about six weeks in, and I have to say Joss Whedon is nailing it. He’s so smart and so good. And it’s gonna be great. I can’t believe I just said it, I never could’ve believed this but it’s gonna be great.”
The Avengers will hit theatres May 4th, 2012 and stars Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Samuel L. Jackson, Don Cheadle, Clark Gregg, Tom Hiddleston. The film is directed by Joss Whedon. (Source)
