Ready for some news as awesome as Barney Stinson himself? How I Met Your Mother executive producer Cater Bays tells Ask Ausilleo exclusively that there will be “an attempted reconciliation between two exes” later this season.
Does this mean Robin and Barney will rekindle their legendarily short romance? Bays hinted at such a possibility a few months ago when he told me the couple’s “story is not over, for sure.”
Then again, it could just as easily be Ted and Robin. Or Ted and Stella. Or Ted and… Well, you get the picture. There are a lot of options.

As sexy tomboy Robin Scherbatsky on the CBS hit sitcom How I Met Your Mother, Cobie Smulders keeps the laughs coming with her witty banter and sarcastic comebacks. Off-set, Smulders is a bit softer in her delivery, but the laughs are just the same. Arriving at our shoot at the beautiful Hotel Erwin, a couple miles from her Venice Beach home, Smulders is upbeat, grounded and downright goofy.
Whether cracking up the crew between shots or jumping on the bed in the middle of our penthouse suite, it’s not easy keeping a straight face around the 27-year-old starlet. With such a zest for life, it’s hard to believe Smulders is also a mom to an eight-month old daughter – though she is sure to leave the shoot on time to get home to her little one. It can’t be easy balancing such a hectic lifestyle, but Smulders assures us she has little to complain about. (Images to be added soon.)
SNMag: If it were up to you, would Robin end up with Ted or Barney?
CS: Tough question. Probably Ted because, even though Barney is a lot of fun, I just feel like it’s one of those relationships where there’s a lot of excitement, but there are a lot of ups and downs. With Ted, it’s pretty sturdy and he’s loving.
SNMag: Can you imagine yourself being in a relationship with a guy like Barney Stinson?
CS: No. I was in a relationship with someone like Barney and it did not work out.
SNMag: Will we eventually find out who Ted winds up marrying and who is the “Mother” in the show’s title?
CS: Yes. Hopefully, in Season 11.

Say what you will about Jennifer Lopez, but the girl sure does work her (famous) ass off. The singles from her new album, Love?, haven’t exactly set radio stations on fire, but hey, that hasn’t stopped the multihyphenate from taking just about every promotional gig she can think of in order to promote the record.
Lopez has performed her comeback material on TV shows ranging from So You Think You Can Dance to New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, and now she’s doing a scripted-show guest-star tour, including everything from a cameo as a cafeteria lady on Glee to a one-episode gig on How I Met Your Mother. CBS just released your first official look at that HIMYM appearance; J.Lo’s part on Mother will be “Anita, a self-help author, tries to lure Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) into falling head-over-heels for her.”
But here’s the question: What does Jennifer Lopez need besides a killer work ethic to win you back? Is she just risking overexposure with this publicity run, or did J.Lo’s overexposure train leave the station a long, long time ago? What singles should she be recording or movie roles she should be taking to get back in your good graces? (Source)

Motherhood may still be “very, very new” for Cobie Smulders, who welcomed her first child last May, but the serious lack of shuteye is quickly catching up with her! Fortunately, the actress has been commiserating with her How I Met Your Mother costar Alyson Hannigan, who welcomed Satyana Marie only seven weeks before Cobie’s daughter Shaelyn Cado was born.
“I think I sleep an average of four hours a night now and so it’s just functioning on fumes sometimes,” she jokes during a Monday visit to The Bonnie Hunt Show. “[There are] a lot of play dates and time on set in the nursery,” reveals the actress.
And while both baby girls sport somewhat unusual monikers, Cobie, 27, laughs that her daughter’s name is “normal” in comparison to her own!
“My full name is Jacoba Francisca Maria Smulders, that’s a mouthful!” she laughs. “Hopefully she won’t be teased too much. I went with it because I liked Shay and I had never really heard it before.” After initially keeping the birth announcement under wraps, Cobie remains optimistic that her daughter will stay out of the spotlight. “I hate to say no to anything, but from my personal experience, I would like to leave her out of it,” she stresses. “I think it is a rejection thing and it’s a hard business for a woman to be in.”
However, should Shaelyn have a change of heart when she’s older, Cobie is prepared to cheer her on from the sidelines. “If it’s what she wants to do, then it’s what she wants to do,” she concedes.
Shaelyn is Cobie’s first child with fiancé Taran Killam. (Source)

The small screen is home to many eligible bachelors—How I Met Your Mother’s Ted Mosby (Josh Radnor) and The Office’s Michael Scott (Steve Carell) come to mind—who yearn to spend Valentine’s Day with a special someone. But what about the ineligible bachelors, the men who insist that they’ll never give up their one-night stands in favor long-term love? We decided to give them some love… even if they won’t commit to it.
1. Barney Stinson (Neil Patrick Harris) from “How I Met Your Mother”
The man has a closet full of suits, a playbook full of pickup lines, and a pile of sawdust where his many-notched bedpost used to stand. He’s a legendary ladies’ man—and the most ineligible bachelor on TV.

Jennifer Lopez will attempt to “break” prime-time’s most infamous womanizer, Barney (Neil Patrick Harris), when she guest-stars on “How I Met Your Mother” this season. Lopez, who tried her hand as a late-night host during “The George Lopez” show last week, seems to be making a habit of appearing on the small screen.
According to a press release, Lopez will play a self-help author, Anita Appleby, who writes about the ways “to train men into relationship machines through the power of denial.” After she learns about Barney’s treatment towards women from Robin (Cobie Smulders), Appleby wants to tame him.
“We couldn’t be more excited about Jennifer Lopez joining us on ‘How I Met Your Mother,’ ” executive producer and co-creator Carter Bays said of the latest celebrity cameo on his hit CBS comedy. “We’re looking forward to a week of revealing outfits and sexy dance moves the likes of which this show hasn’t seen since Regis Philbin guest-starred.”
Lopez is also rumored to be making a guest appearance on “Glee.” According to reports, the show’s producers are trying to get her on the show to play a cafeteria worker. Coincidentally, Harris is also reportedly guest-starring on the Fox dramedy, according to Entertainment Weekly.
“Discussions are ongoing and we haven’t gotten into the episode(s) [Lopez would] be appearing in,” “Glee” executive producer Brad Falchuk told E! Online. Show creator Ryan Murphy told “Extra!”
The actress and singer, who began her career on TV as a dancer on “In Living Color,” has been ramping up her appearances lately, beginning with her (unintentionally hilarious) performance of “Louboutins” at the American Music Awards in November. Her new album, Love?, was originally scheduled to come out in January, but it’s since been pushed back to April.
Carrie Underwood is also set to make a cameo on “How I Met Your Mother,” where she will play pharmaceutical sales rep and love interest for Ted (Josh Radnor) in an episode airing in March. In the past, “The Hills” stars Heidi Montage and Spencer Pratt have guested on the show, as well as Britney Spears who played love-struck receptionist Abby in 2008. (Source)
