I need Barney and Robin scoop from HIMYM!
Well, how are you feeling about Ted and Robin getting back together? Yeah, we don’t like it either, but apparently that’s not stopping Ted (Josh Radnor). In the Feb. 20 episode, Ted will confess his true feelings to Robin (Cobie Smolders). Those HIMYM pictures you posted of Barney and Quinn did not make me happy! Are those two really going to date?
Full disclosure? We’re both dreading and excited for Quinn’s debut on HIMYM because although we are Barney-Robin shippers to the core, we love us some Becky Newton. Looking a few weeks ahead to the episode titled “Karma’s A Bitch,” creator Craig Thomas told us that it’s where we see Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) “realize that he is really falling for her and we the audience know that she’s kind of playing him a little bit.” We’ll see the duo in a strip club (where else?) and witness Quinn hustle some poor innocent fella into spending a small fortune on her while Barney is preoccupied with a previous conquest. But when we flat-out called Quinn the ol’ B-word, Thomas was quick to correct us: “She’s not so much bitchy as she has a twinkle in her eye.” Hmmm…interesting.

Ask Ausiello has posted two new How I Met Your Mother spoilers. Please be advised, if you wish to remain spoiler free do not read further!
Question: Any news on how long Kal Penn is sticking around on How I Met Your Mother?
Ausiello: I don’t think much longer. Exec producer Craig Thomas says an upcoming episode will find Robin realizing that “the waters don’t run as deep with Kevin as they do with Barney.” Or, for that matter, Ted, who come February will be forced to deal with his unresolved feelings for Robin. “Stuff happens that makes Ted and Robin question their living arrangements,” adds fellow EP Carter Bays. “When they broke up back in Season 2 they asked themselves the question, ‘Where do you see yourself in five years?’ Robin thought she’d be living [overseas]. And now it’s five years later and she is still in this apartment, exactly where she was when Ted asked that question. There’s an episode where they literally do the five-year reassessment off that one line in their breakup in Season 2.”Question: Will we definitely learn in the HIMYM season finale who Barney is marrying?
Ausiello: Yes. And that’s not the only precious piece of intel we’ll uncover during the flash-forward. “There’s a huge thing we’re going to learn going back to the future wedding day,” teases Bays. “I don’t want to say what it is though.”
After posting an original song on YouTube asking Jason Segel out for a drink, super fan Chelsea Gill’s dreams came true when the How I Met Your Mother star contacted the Chicago resident and asked her to be his date to the Chicago Film Critic Awards last weekend, and the actor’s “HIMYM” co-stars say they would expect nothing less from their charming castmate.
“Jason’s a super lovely guy,” Neil Patrick Harris told AccessHollywood.com’s Laura Saltman when asked about his co-star’s YouTube date at the People’s Choice Awards in Los Angeles on Wednesday. “He does stuff like that, and authentically. It wasn’t for any kind of agenda.”
Cobie Smulders echoed NPH’s Segel sentiment, saying, “Jason Segel is the nicest man alive. I think he respects and appreciates his fans.”
Could How I Met Your Mother live on in some form after viewers finally meet the Mother? TVLine tossed that provocative question out to executive producers Carter Bays and Craig Thomas at an intimate lunch the pair hosted for a handful of news outlets on Wednesday. Their response? It’s not out of the realm of possibility.
“That’s come up,” Bays said of a spinoff that would allow them to bring current Mother mystery arc to a satisfying conclusion — perhaps at the end of Season 8 — and then possibly relaunch the show with a slightly tweaked premise and title (i.e. What Happened After I Met Your Mother).
“We’ve had conversations about rewinding back to 2005 and doing a series called How I Met Your Father,” Thomas revealed with a laugh. “From the perspective of what was happening with the Mother all those years. Occasionally, she’ll stumble through McLaren’s and no one will see her.”
Bays floated another idea that similarly involved turning back the clock. “One way to go is to finish the [mother] story at the end of Season 8, and then Season 9 is, ‘Oh, by the way kids, I left some stuff out…,’” he explained. “And then it’s just 24 little stories that took place over the course of the series here and there. Like, ‘Here’s something funny that happened in 2006.’”
Given the ratings growth Mother has enjoyed in its current seventh season, it’s not difficult to understand why CBS and producer 20th Century Fox TV would want to keep the franchise going — either in its current form or an altered one. Either way, Bays hopes to have some resolution on the matter soon (the series has already been renewed through Season 8.)
“We’ve already started discussions with [20th] about letting them know we need some lead time because we do have a story we want to tell and we see how quickly or slowly we should be telling this story,” he said. “Hopefully we’ll get an answer to that in time. It’s a hard thing,” Bays continued. “Obviously, we don’t ever want to keep the show on longer than it needs to, just like we don’t want to end it before it should end. But it’s the best job any of us have ever had.”

Question: Please, I need some HIMYM scoop!
Ausiello: All aboard the Drunk Train — aka the last train from Manhattan to Long Island — aka Marshall and Lily’s soon-to-be-home. In an upcoming episode, not only do Ted and Barney get lucky while riding the rails, they meet the second coming of Andrew Dice Clay. (Shudder… )
